Phoenix Park Mass

As there are people on a waiting list for the bus to the Papal Mass in the Phoenix Park, could those who have already booked, please pay for their place this weekend so we can clarify if we have any spare capacity.


The Youth Choir will continue to practice and perform thought the summer.
The children’s choir and the adult’s choir are taking a well-earned break and will resume practice in September.

Eucharistic Ministers & Readers

August rotas for Eucharistic Ministers & Ministers of the word are available at the back of the Church.

WMOF 2018 Icon

The icon of the Holy Family which was specially commissioned by WMOF2018 is visiting each Diocese in Ireland to encourage reflection and prayer as part of the preparations for WMOF2018.

The Icon will be on display for the people of Lucan in St Patrick’s Church, Esker
From 9th – 12th August (see notice board for details)
The times especially assigned to Lucan South Parish are 10.30am – 12noon & 2pm – 5pm on Saturday 11th August.
Please feel free to drop in to St Patrick’s at any time during the visit of the Icon.

Live Broadcast
Papal Mass

St Patrick’s Church, Esker will broadcast the Papal Mass live in the Church, on Sunday 26th August for any parishioner who does not feel able to attend the Phoenix Park.
The Consecration will be celebrated and Holy Communion distributed alongside the live broadcast and this will fulfil your Sunday obligation.

The Irish Cancer Society’s Volunteer Driver Service is in need of volunteers to drive local patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments in St. James;
The Mater; Tallaght & St. Vincent’s Hospitals.

Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group

The Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group meet in the Church every Friday;
6pm – 8pm

Gluten free hosts are available for anyone with coeliac condition or on a gluten free diet, please speak to the priest before Mass.
