We are aware of the RTE news report that there might be a change to the public health guidelines for First Communions and Confirmations. We have contacted the Diocese who were surprised at the unexpected announcement. They are awaiting clarification from the Government and following this will send out a communication as soon as the situation becomes clear. We will update our website/Facebook page as soon as we have more information.
UPDATE FROM DIOCESE:
The following public health advice regarding “Other Religious Ceremonies” has now been published on gov.ie
“It is advised that religious ceremonies such as Baptisms, First Holy Communions and Confirmations should not take place at this time. Further advice will follow on the resumption of these ceremonies when it is safe to do so “
